Software, security, and systems

AaronHorstman

High school cybersecurity student. Learning Linux, building homelabs, and scripting in Python. I care about building things with the same curiosity I bring to understanding how systems work.

Current focus: Linux, homelab stuff, Python, Docker.

About

High school cybersecurity student learning in public.

I like Linux, homelabs, and the process of figuring out how systems fit together. That usually means building small projects, testing ideas in a lab, and learning one layer at a time.

Hey, I'm Aaron — a high school student interested in cybersecurity, Linux, homelabs, Python, and Docker. I like figuring out how systems work, testing ideas in a lab, and learning by building things myself.

My focus right now is building stronger fundamentals in cybersecurity, Linux, scripting, and homelab work so I can understand how systems are designed, operated, and hardened.

Outside of school, I like working on cars, tinkering with my homelab, and hosting game servers. I also enjoy trying out new tools and languages whenever they help me see a system from a different angle.

Projects

Selected builds across web, tooling, and security.

Each project is part practice and part proof: ship something useful, understand its tradeoffs, and leave with better instincts than I started with.
